With this handy tool from FMM you can easily make a base grid, that you can fill up with royal icing. Furthermore you can connect the dots in this grid to create a beautiful pattern.

Repeat the tool multiple times to create a border around the entire cake. Repeat as follow: place the first row of the tool in the last dots on the cake. In this way, the space between the dots remains the same.
